Where Are They Now?:The Curious Case of The Missing 14 Girls in Washington D.C.

No I am not talking about a one hit wonder from yesterday, it has been reported that during the end of this week in a twenty four hour time period. Fourteen girls all teenage, black and latina disappeared in the Washington DC area. Posts started showing up on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram about the missing girls.

Causing concern about these girls and why the major media outlets are not making reports on these girls being missing.  Posts on social media and blog think pieces has been the news source for this current situation. When it come to young black and brown female lives in typically fashion it goes unnoticed especially when one becomes missing, now add several to bunch and we now here crickets.

Notorious B.I.G final album is my mind is a classic and not because it was released after he died. After Tupac All Eyez On Me was released in 1996, it was the first time in Hip-Hop music a double album came out. And when Tupac dropped that project it was well received and spread like wild fire. So when the word got out that his rival was releasing a double album the following year.
Given the time period, many believed Biggie was copying Pac, so some folks was not feeling that at all. So no one knew what to expect from this upcoming Biggie project. "Ready To Die" brought the ball back to the East Coast as far as Hip Hop was concerned.  Nas had already dropped his sophomore album "It was written" and new comer and friend of B.I.G, Jay-Z released an unknown classic at the time "Reasonable Doubt" in 1996.
Many of us was eager to here the next Biggie project, In early 1997 Life After Death was ready to be listen…

I am late I know, hectic work schedule has been happening and  also I have been getting my show up and running, so I took a break from the blog. I am back and promise to bring more content to this very page. Anyways another birthday has passed and with a reminder of getting older. Also comes reminders of the past.  Two days before my birthday on March 9th 1997, once again the hip hop world was struck with saddeness.

Still healing from the lost of Tupac six months earlier, from the ongoing "East/West Coast Beef" had taken another life and that was Christopher "Notorious B.I.G" Wallace was killed after an Vibe magazine after party in Los Angeles. Biggie died Sunday March 9th 1997, two days before my birthday.
